Frank Smith, 517 Park avenue, died suddenly Monday morning at the Village hall. Mr. Smith had been janitor at the Village hall for the past fourteen years and prior to that operated a grocery store on Main street between Wilmette and Central avenues. He was 67 years old. Born in Wilmette, he had spent his entire lifetime here. Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Amelia Smith, two sons, Arthur, a member of the Wilmette Fire department, and LeRoy of Detroit, and a daughter, Mrs. Jack Smith [sic] of Coopersville Mich. The Rev. George P. Magill, former pastor of the First Presbyterian church of Wilmette, conducted the funeral services at the residence Wednesday afternoon. Burial took place at Ridgewood cemetery, Des Plaines, where the A. T. Sherman lodge, No. 892, I. O. O. F., was in charge of the services.
