Mrs. Anna R. Allen, wife of David E. Allen, 209 Fourth street, Wilmette, passed away Saturday night, December 14, following an illness of several months.

Services were held at Mrs. Allen's girlhood home in West Chester, Pa., Wednesday. Burial was in West Chester.

Mrs. Allen was born of Quaker parentage in Paoli, Chester county, Pa. Mr. and Mrs. Allen came to Wilmette twenty-five year [sic] ago. They were to have celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary next month.

Mrs. Allen was active in the Woman's club of Wilmette for several years, having been particularly interested in the building campaign for the original club house only recently replaced by a new structure. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Wilmette. Failing health several years ago necessitated her almost complete relinquishment of interests outside her home.

Surviving Mrs. Allen are her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Maude A. Philips of Kenneth Square, Pa., and Mrs. Dorothy A. Killian of Los Angeles, Cal.; and three sons, Ronald G. Allen of Pittsburgh, Pa., D. Everett Allen, Jr., and Rodney B. Allen of Wilmette.
